I welcome you to my blog! Please, allow me take you around to meet my immediate family.
My first introduction is my handsome husband, Pastor Hughes. He is the pastor of a Southern Baptist church in the middle of Kansas and is the WWUTT guy (Videos, Podcast, and Blog accessible here). I fell in love with his passion and zeal for the Lord before he even knew me. Then lines fell into pleasant places for us, and here we are today!
Our eldest daughter, we'll address with first initials for privacy's sake, {A}. Right now, she is 11. That being said, she is as mature as she is tall, and just as lovely as ever! She has a knack for cheering people up with her amazing compassion and is learning how to bake like a pro. She is my right hand on most days.
Our next eldest is our son, Z. He just turned 8 and is ready to defend the world! He has a way of getting you involved in his imaginary play, which is always turned on, it seems. Z recently discovered a new love of a game that he can get completely wrapped up in. When he latches onto something, he closely studies and learns everything about it. This boy is a sponge right now!
Our third born is our daughter, {a}. This might get a little confusing, as we have {A} and {a}. :D However, you cannot mistake {a}'s personality for {A}'s. She is a very passionate girl. Even at the age of 4 (soon to be 5 as she is already reminding us), she is able to give you so much grief one second and the very next, be the most loving you have ever encountered with the wet tears still falling from her eyes. She is very determined. When she sets her mind to do something, she figures out a way to get it! Luckily, I have an excellent background of experience with this "strong-willed" personality, as {a} is a miniature version of myself!
Our youngest child is our daughter, R. She is the smartest thing to come in such a petite package! She is only 2 and a half, but she can sing songs and complete sentences like you wouldn't believe. We'll see if she keeps it up as sometimes amazing gifts taper off after they hit a certain age (like manners, lol!). R is also the most athletically gifted of all the kids (a close second is Z, but taking age into account, R is more advanced at this age than Z was). She loves to run and constantly be outside, regardless of how hot or cold the weather is!
Finally, there's me. You'll get to know me more and more throughout the blog, but for now, the most important thing you need to know about me is that I am a sinner, and I was saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ.
John 3:16-21
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (17) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (18) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. (19) And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. (20) For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. (21) But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
Because of this, Psalm 16:6 stands true: The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
Thank you for visiting, and meeting our family! I hope you enjoyed our introductions.
